Jim Wheeler’s Lancewood Leaf is a sculpture of one of New Zealand's unique native trees, Lancewood, or Horoeka. The lance-like foliage changes as the tree matures so the tree looks remarkably different when mature. The artist has curved the leaf gently, representing its light and delicate nature as seen in on the forest floor.
